Skin Care tips while wearing a mask all day

While mask wearing has become part of the attire for most workers, many have noticed the effects it is having on their skin! I won’t get into whether masks are effective or not, however I will share some tips that may help keep your skin healthy.

1. Prevent bacteria growth:

Be sure to wear your mask only once, that being said, if you are wearing a disposable mask they are meant for a single use only. If you make a run to the grocery store then get in your car and throw it on your seat or your dashboard every time it touches something else which is cross-contamination. Now if you are using a cloth mask, then I recommend having multiple so they can be washed in between uses. Again, once you leave one place and take off your mask its best not to put the same one back on. I know it seems like a hassle right?? But think about all the things that come in contact with your mask, one example if you are making a quick store run chances are most ladies will be wearing makeup which then ends up on your mask and back on your skin.

2. Prevent pore clogging:

If you are at a job that requires mask wearing, I recommend to not put makeup on. So ladies let those eyes be the focus of your makeup routine and skip the face makeup because who will see it anyway right? Once you are home and done for the day don’t skip out on that skincare routine. Best way to keep it simple is Cleanser & serum, but if you want to take it next level add in that eye cream and moisturizer! Lastly remember to exfioliate 1-2 times per week and cold roll because not only will that drive in your products but it will also reduce inflammation.

3. Glow from the inside out:

Be sure to stay hydrated and eat your greens, exercise and most of all take deep breaths before bed. When your body is not releasing stress in a helathy way or you are not consuming enough water it can also affect your skin. Self-care is essential after all, it comes down to treating our mind, body and soul. Lastly, don’t forget about facials if you are not ready to go and see your esthetician virtual facials are also available to help you treat your skin with professional products right from your home!

4. Bonus tip:

Keep your clean masks in a baggie to prevent them from sitting directly in your purse or your car.
