In the midst of a Pandemic
Here we are in 2020 the year for vision, three months into the year and we get hit with a pandemic that has put the whole world on lockdown. Let me just begin by saying that perspective is everything, and the ability to choose IS essential. Seven weeks into the quarantine, where everything seems uncertain I have had to take several steps back after going through all the motions and remember that God is still in control and his faithfullness is everlasting and realize that what our world needs is an awakening of God’s army. The way I see it we can either sit at home and complain about all the things that are going wrong and how hard it is, or we can rejoice and be grateful for what we do have. God gave me the word “restoration” for 2020, I had no idea what He meant, but in this time I believe that he wants to restore our land, he wants his children accept their identity and step into full purpose for God’s glory. Many people spoke on how this was the year for “vision” I can’t help but realize that as things have been put on pause, we can truly now see what matters in life, all the things we thought we couldn’t live without is all an illusion. I know it sounds crazy, because some of us have even lost jobs and we think but how can we live without it? We have the opportunity to see if we are actually living in alignment with God’s purpose, a chance to start over and simplify your life going forward. Then comes the time where we get to choose, one of God’s gifts to us is the ability to choose. Some say fighting for freedom in a time like this is selfish, but one could argue that keeping everyone in for the sake of other people’s health is also selfish. Whatever your thoughts and beliefs don’t forget to be kind, the thing is if you choose to follow orders from those in office, don’t go in blind, ask questions after all they work for the people. If you don’t agree places should be open, you still have the choice to stay home. The truth is we can’t remain in fear, be cautious but don’t forget you have the ability to think for yourself and do what’s best for you and your family. We have had a time of pause to reset and renew but it’s time to rise up.
